Being active on social media sites like Linkedin and Twitter helps you meet potential prospects in various ways, including common connections, shared conversation topics, and the ease with which job seekers may contact you. A quarter of UK businesses recruit using professional networking sites such as Linkedin. Your social media engagement also helps grow your employer brand by demonstrating to prospects what your company’s culture is like (Patel et al., 2018). That’s fantastic for hiring top people, providing your company’s culture is positive. It also works the opposite way around. You may screen applicants using social media, judging their appropriateness based on the substance of their online posts. Passive candidates were nearly hard to contact before the advent of social media (Patel et al., 2018). You may reach out to any candidate, engage them, and establish connections with them through social media. Even if the passive prospects aren’t interested right now, your firm will most likely be the first that comes to mind when they decide to make a career change.

Print isn’t truly extinct. The print job ad is perhaps the most conventional of all recruitment methods. On the other hand, print advertising is a wonderful method to target a well-defined subset of job searchers if sector-specific periodicals and publications are available.

In order to recruit participants, it is important to have a clear understanding of the goals and limitations. It is also important for researchers to know how many people they need in their sample size as well as what factors will influence those numbers.
