Some disabilities are visible and some are undetectable; however, a disability may have a significant impact on education and life outcomes if appropriate knowledge and accommodations are not present.
    Special educators must have a foundation of knowledge about many disabilities and their implications for function. In addition, they need to be familiar with legal provisions for education and supplementary supports and services. The purpose of this assignment is to identify and organize this information to ensure understanding of physical and health-related disabilities.
