The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has an on-line analysis tool for the Youth Risk Behavior Survey that includes confidence intervals. This is an important survey of six areas of risk behaviors. Data are available starting from 1991. The survey includes students in grades 9 through 12.

Using this link: https://nccd.cdc.gov/Youthonline/App/Default.aspxselect one of the risk behavior areas and then select a specific question.

For example, you might select the risk behavior area: Unintentional Injuries and Violence and use the specific question: Texting and driving.

In your discussion describe the results of the analysis: What risk behavior did you choose? What were the results of the analysis? What were the results for males and females? What confidence intervals did you find? What was the alpha level? How do you interpret those confidence intervals? Did the confidence intervals for males and females overlap? What theory might you use to explain any differences you found?
