I think policy intersects biology in a way that it helps keep societies safe because science can be abusive to society by conducting researches that are dangerous to people, without policies, this would mean that a lot of actions done in the name of science would be unchecked no matter how dangerous it is. Policies also help protect the interests of stakeholders, makes sure that scientists are honest abut their work and take responsibility for their work, policies help scientists treat their subjects with respect and view them as human before trying any inhumane experiments on them. In general, policies help biology progress, function, and stay fair.
I think the relationship between policy and biology is important and interconnected because the foundation of science is based on policy decisions to maintain a sustainable future. To design and build any foundation, it is important to make a policy. If we take an example of a hospital and people working in the hospital. Everything is interconnected and if there is no policy the system will not cultivate. There are doctors, nurses, technicians, and other staff working as a chain. The act of policy not only in biology but as a science accounts for decisions to be made best on the challenges that society faces.
