I’m working on a philosophy discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Do you agree with Singer that using animals for our own needs without regard for their pain and suffering is wrong because it is speciesist?  Or do you agree with Steinbock that there is nothing wrong with being speciesist, putting human needs before those of animals?  Or do the more moderate positions of  Korsgaard and Warren appeal to you? Maybe you have a position that is different than any of these philosophers.  If so, how does it stand relative to their positions?  As always, give your reasons and respond to the arguments in the textbook.
