Using a topic related to your field of study or eventual career and the knowledge you have gained in this course, you will prepare a formal report in ONE of the following two styles:

• Module 9: Descriptive & Prescriptive Reports
• Module 10: Classification & Partition Reports

REQUIREMENTS:

• APA format and documentation
  • Include a list of references for all research used even with choosing topics and the like
• At least two visuals included/cited
• No specific length, but needs to be fully developed based on the choice of topic

AUDIENCE:

Always think of the audience for these as someone in that profession who would be reading it.  In some cases it might be co-workers or bosses, but, where appropriate, it could be customers as well.  Just remember that all technical writing needs to be audience-centered.

INSPIRATION:

Sometimes having no forced list of topics makes things harder, but I want you to get creative here.  Check out the “Assignment” pages in the online textbook for inspiration.  You can also research how these kinds of reports would be used in your chosen field.  Here are a few examples:
