Literacy Research Summary

Step 1. Select five research articles that support the area of literacy need identified in the Module 1 assignment. You will use the information you collect to develop a research summary paper.

Step 2. Introduce the paper by summarizing the area of need and how the research applies to the area of need. Document the area of need with data from the Module 1 Analysis.

Step 3. Summarize each research article in a 1 to 2 paragraphs. Include the strategy or strategies suggested in the article and why they are appropriate to address the literacy need at your selected school.

Step 4. Develop a plan describing how you to apply what you have learned in the research to resolve the literacy need at the selected school.

Step 5. Synthesize your findings in a 3- to 5-page paper, not including the title and references pages.
