The Psychology of Criminal Conduct (PCC) is a social learning approach to criminal behavior that posits that criminal behavior is a combination of personality, social learning, and situational factors. This approach assumes that although the causes of crime cannot be scientifically pinpointed, they may be inferred by examining the correlates of criminal behavior. PCC regards the major correlates of criminal behavior as 1) antisocial attitudes, 2) antisocial associates, 3) history of antisocial behavior, and 4) personality factors. These correlates are known as “the big four.” They are used by criminologists and forensic psychology professionals when conducting risk assessments. These assessments are used to identify individuals likely to commit crimes. Evaluating risk is one of the major focuses of PCC, along with the treatment of high-risk offenders.

Criminal homework help

As we learn about how technology has changed the world of criminal justice, think about where we might be heading in the future.  If you could create some new technology to help reduce crime, what would it be?  What would your technology do?  What crimes would it reduce?  How?  Use your imagination, and really focus on how your technology would reduce crime in your response.
ANSWER THE ABOVE DISCUSSION AND THEN REPLY TO MY CLASSMATE’S RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTION AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU AGREE? (A MINIMUM OF 125 WORDS or MORE)
                                    CLASSMATE’S POST
If I could create some new technology to reduce crimes, I would start with surveillance systems. Ultimately there is already surveillance systems in place in some places. However, in my community there isn’t any surveillance systems. It would be like traffic light cameras. It would tag vehicles that are around the area during the time of the crime. It would also be able to identify certain vehicles that come to the area before or after a crime is committed. That way vehicles could be identified sooner, and the criminals could be located and identified. In a specific part of town there are clubs at which there are drugs and fights frequently. By the time the Law Enforcement Officers get there they are usually cleared out making it difficult to press charges and get the correct information. Surveillance paired with Neighborhood Watch programs can decrease the amount of crime being committed.

Learning theory holds the perspective that all behavior, including criminal behavior, is learned from a person’s surroundings. Social learning theory, a subcategory of learning theory, suggests that individuals learn by watching and imitating and by being rewarded and punished. While there are various specific learning theories, they all suggest that criminal behavior is learned.
They also hold the perspective that how and what an individual learns from his or her environment is significant. This can be illustrated by how, in some neighborhoods, illegally carrying a gun or knife is normal because of the number of individuals carrying weapons for protection, and because those who do not carry guns or knives may find themselves at a distinct disadvantage.
