This is an interesting article that was in Forbes. It probably goes with our Chapter 7 Part 1 – the Services Industry, which is huge not only in our country but all over the world. Services account for much more of GDP than manufacturing, and that has been true for a very long time now. Interestingly, I guess the article ties in with manufacturing as well, since the products they sell are all manufactured somewhere!
Additionally, this retailer has opened a store right here in Conway not too long ago – our daughter and I absolutely love to wander around in there (and occasionally buy something, lol).
Without “giving away the punchline” or “spoiler alert” or whatever kind of analogy I’m looking for (lol), there is one very surprising thing you’ll read about in the article. Read the article and “prove to me that you read it”; and see if you can identify the “surprising fact” about the firm. I think you’ll know it when you see it.
Fear not, you have got until midnight Thursday evening (the 9th of April) to complete it. Yes, I got permission from the publisher. Here is the link; you might have to copy and paste it into your browser:

As this article is a few years old now, how about you go out to Google and see what’s happened lately? My students from this past summer did so, and there were some interesting things found out.
