Environmental science homework help. Task
You are to write an 4-5 page paper surveying a topic of your choice. You are to use scientific journal articles, reference books and government reports as the bulk of your sources. You may use mainstream press to supplement your paper, such as to convey public perception of your topic, or detail current bias.
Topics
You are to choose a topic related to air pollution, subject to the instructors approval. Please choose a topic that interests you. Some potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Acceptable References
You must cite at least ten (10) or more articles in your paper. You must cite at least six (5) sources from scientific journals, government reports, or reference reports. You may also cite popular press sources as you wish. Popular press sources would be sources such as newspapers, internet news sources, weeklies or magazines.

Paper Specifications
Length: The paper should be between 4 and 5 pages.
Line Spacing: Please use one and a half spacing.
Margins: Please use 1” margins on the entire page.
Font: Use size 11 or 12, with either Times New Roman, Arial or similar font.
Pagination: Please number all of your pages at the bottom of the page.
Front Matter: Please include a cover page, followed by a table of contents with your paper. Also, include a 150 word abstract prior to your introduction section.
Reference Citations
Cite each reference by author and date at the appropriate location within your paper. Here are two appropriate examples.
In your paper:
“Cengal and Boles (1998) indicate that the second law governs the emission of fly ash.”
or
“The second law governs the emission of fly ash (Cengel & Boles, 1998).”
In your reference list:
Cengel, Y. A., & Boles, M. A. (1998). Thermodynamics (3rd Ed.), New York, NY: McGraw-Hill.
References must be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper in a section headed References using the following rules for citation and formatting:

Figures & Tables
Location: Integrate all figures and tables into the body of your report. Do NOT place them at the end. All figures and tables must be cited in the text.
Format: All figures and tables must be numbered sequentially and have a title; for example: Figure 1. Diurnal variation of ozone concentrations. From Cengel & Boles (1998).
Citation: Cite the reference source of your figures and tables in the title as above.
