Operations Management homework help

Operations Management homework help. ASSESSMENT FOR MO9409
Component 1: Poster Sheet (20% of module mark)
Include an electronic copy of your Poster as an Appendix at the end of your written assignment
Component 2: Tasks 1 & 2 (80% of module mark)
• Task 1: Essay/Report on the Pars Food Case Study (1000 words)
• Task 2: 2 X 500 words Reflective Reports.
Task 1 – Pars Food Ltd Case Study Essay/Report – 1,000 words (60% mark)
To action:
• Download the Pars Food Case Study.
• Write an essay/report describing how Marketing Management, Operations and Supply Chain
Management (SCM) strategies could help Pars Food Ltd achieve their long and short-term objectives.
Task 2:
You will need to choose TWO of the case studies (one from Operations and one from Marketing) to write a
reflective piece on what you learned over the semester. The cases you can choose from are outlined below.
• Operations: Turn around in Preston Plant OR Supply Fast Fashion.
• Marketing Management (either Dominos Pizza OR Price Discrimination).
Task 2 – FURTHER INFORMATION:
For Task 2 you need to reflect on what you learned from 1 case study for the Operations & SCM and then 1
case study for Marketing Management. Firstly, you need to reflect on the actual case study’s company in
question. So, if you’re talking about Fast Fashion, you need to speak about the companies/retailers and why
they do what they do. The same with Dominos Pizza. You DO NOT need to include a reflective theoretical
framework.
The case studies are found in the seminars, the seminar instruction sheets (e.g. you need to go to Seminar
Instruction Sheet 9 for more information on Domino’s) and associated powerpoints.
What I would like you to do is to explain, as written in the assignment:
“Your reflective analysis should focus on your personal reflective insight, understanding and illustrate any
recommendation(s) you would make as a result of studying the chosen case study. Reflective writing in this
context requires you to evidence learning beyond the conceptual definition of each case study.”
So, for example, in the Supply Fast Fashion Chain Case Study, there are mechanisms, tools and approaches
that are important strategically from both a supply chain and marketing point of view. For supply chains, each
of the example retailers have different approaches and foci. For instance, H&M are very concerned with
controlling their whole supply chain and its key stages, right through from design to retail so are vertically
integrated and control manufacturing by strong ownership. Whereas, Benetton, own and control their design
stages but franchise their retail, partly owning manufacturing and distribution. This is because each of the
retailers occupy a different marketing position and target market. This means that supply chain strategies are
closely integrated with marketing and market positioning.
I’ve copied the tasks’s case studies below:
2a- Operations and Supply Chain Management – 500 words (20% Mark)
Select only one case study
a) Turn around in Preston Plant
b) Supply Fast Fashion
2b- Marketing Management – 500 words (20% Mark)
Select only one case study
a) Dominoes Pizza
b) Price Discrimination
