Have you ever been on a tour of a historical site? Or maybe a historical tour of a city? Imagine you are a tour guide, taking someone on a tour of East Asia. Where would you go? What would you see? What would you tell them about the history there? For this project, you get to be a tour guide. The final project, submitted for a grade, should take the form of a travel brochure, with images and descriptions of the places in your tour. You will choose at least six (6) of your pinned places from your Google map assignment.Format: It can be in word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF (.pdf) format only. Do not submit a link to a Google Doc, you will be asked to resubmit.Length: minimum of 1,200 words, and a maximum of 1,800 words (not including citations)Sources: you must use at least six (6) of your pinned places from your Google map assignment. At least three (3)must be from China.Images: Pictures are fun! But we also want you to learn how to cite responsibly. Remember, you are pretending that this is a real tour! Here are two image databases to get you started:Creative Commons(Links to an external site.) ArtStor(Links to an external site.) (you must log in with your UCSC library account)Citations: must follow Chicago Style (see Chicago Citation Guide). These are necessary for any images that are used. You can do a bibliography at the end or footnotes, it’s your choice.Examples: you do NOT have to use these templates. This is a place where you can let your creative side shine! It is only to help if you are having trouble coming up with an idea for how it should look. BE WARNED: These do not necessarily have the citations or word count necessary for your project, they are meant to be artistic examples only.
