How Euro as international currency what its strength/challenges and what its future

Euro currency is considered “international currency” but the US $ still the most dominant international currency. When the Euro was established, it was seen as the most viable challenge to the $ and expectations were that the Euro will become the dominant international currency. This has not been achieved so far and given the current status of the EU, may take a long time to happen (if it will).

To work on this topic, you would need to define what makes a currency an international currency and then look at EURO currency strengths and weaknesses/challenges and then determine if Euro has stronger standing in the international markets, why it has not stronger standing in international marketing. and make a prediction of what you think may happen in the future of Euro.
