I don’t know how to handle this History question and need guidance.

2. .A: Discuss the political growth of the United States from 1787-1838. We know that by 1776 many Americans hated Parliament’s rule, but what challenges did independence provide? What benefits did independence provide? Would you describe this period as smooth or rocky? What issues did Americans care most about?  
3. B:  Analyze two concepts from the list below. Compare and contrast how colonial Americans (chapters 1-5) and Americans in the early Republic (chapter 6-10) dealt with the issue. How were their actions similar? How were they different?
