For this exercise, you are going to identify what books, newspapers and magazines have in common in terms of what made them become mass, things such as the printing press. You are also going to identify things that were only unique to one branch of the media becoming mass, as well as those things that only two of these branches has in common.
1. Pick a post-it square and put the answer on it. Then, choose the appropriate part of the circles to place it. For example, the printing press should go in the middle, because it is one of the things that created an environment for any print media to eventually become mass.
