I can definitely agree why it is worthwhile for managers to build sustainable organizations. Building sustainable organizations means that you are creating a environment in which people within the organization feel like they will keep working there in a long term which creates reliability. It is crucial for managers to focus on these issues rather than just urgent and short term benefits because it creates relationships with its employers in which they trust each other. Furthermore, managers need to have strong leader ship skills in order to engage with multiple stakeholders to increase the value of their organization. The sustainable company is often competitive and that survives its finances. A manager can become a sustainable organization by balancing financial, social and environmental considerations. It is important to consider the value of decisions that drive day-to-day choices and make difficult choices down the road that can often provide financial gain for the future. Overall, internal and external choices with the employees create a sustainable environment that will last. And example of a sustainable organization includes Apple. They have created many benefits for their employees and have managed to thrive due to the way they run their business.

Short term goals and fixes will always be needed, but in the area of sustainability you should be looking to fix things for the long term, not put a bandaid on them. I don’t know if I would consider Apple a sustainable company though. Employees for Apple here in the US might receive a good benefits package and have good working conditions, but the actual production plan is a completely different situation (Article Attached). Apple has many policies in place, but it all comes down to if they are actually followed or not.https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/09/apple-appl-claims-…

In my opinion it is not only worth while for a manager to build a sustainable organization but, it is absolutely crucial. It is so important because not only will your economics be healthy, but also your relationships. Building a sustainable organization gives you a back bone to your company and a road to move forward on. I would start by building a strong like minded team in order to operate the business with, from here with a good crew you can begin to increase profit and create loyal customers. Using tactics from commercial and social entrepreneurship you can create an effective range of clients and advertisement. One of the companies that stands out to me as being very sustainable is Costco. Both of my parents work there and their policies for their excellence and treatment of the members is clear. Their popularity and this very efficient system is thanks to a well organized and sustainable organization that was created.

It is important for managers to be able to stainable organizations within their workforce due to creating a everlasting image that will stick with its customers and employees. Sustainable organizations mean that they are creating relationships with the people in their circle that creates trust and negotiate ability with each other. Sustainable organizations also consist of implementing rules that care for the environment and its employees. Having an organization that is sustainable also creates a good brand image and competitive advantage compared to other businesses within your field. Many times when organizations are implementing sustainable rules, they are complying with regulations within their region that revolve around protecting the environment. At the end, sustainable organizations often reduce cost because they spend less resources down the road. An example of a sustainable organization would be Tesla. Tesla has been known to create fuel saving vehicles and energy saving batteries. This has led to their sustainable organization being successful in receiving money incentives for the government for their clean energy practices.
