Management Ethical Codes of Conduct Discussion Questions

I need an explanation for this Management question to help me study.

Discussion Questions:

1- If you see your boss violate ethical codes of conduct and mishandle client information on multiple occasions, you know he or she should be disciplined for it. If you try to go over your boss’s head and report an ethical violation to his or her boss, you could lose your job, and it would make you look like a whistle blower who reports your own coworkers. What would you do in this situation?

2- Often employees are fearful of speaking up about poor behavior in a company. How can companies encourage employees to speak up when they see unethical behavior in the company? Explain.

3- Can a company be legally responsible yet not be ethically responsible? Or vice versa? Can you provide an example?

4- Provide one strategy for counteracting or overcoming each one of the barriers to communication (filtering, emotions, information overload, and differing perceptions).
