Overview

If you can produce some critical analyses that will give the upper management folks a clear picture of the bottom line with respect to which IS solutions could greatly benefit the company, you will be certain to receive an offer of a larger office along with a hefty pay raise. This is all part of the career plan that you first developed.
Your document submission is due by the posted due date. Your instructor will use the 8.3 Research Project: Submission 4 Rubric for evaluating and grading your submission.

The requirements for Project Submission 4 are similar to Project Submission 3. The following are the submission requirements for this assignment:
- Submit researched scholarly data for the fifth of the IS-related solutions that you selected.
- Submit a minimum of TWO full pages of double-spaced text in the Body of the Text section for the fifth of the IS-related solutions that you selected. The total number of pages in the Body of the Text section is TEN full pages. The Title and the paragraph consisting of 4-5 sentences that introduce the need for IS-related solutions in your company, and Reference List pages, are not considered part of the “TEN full pages” in the Body of the Text section requirement.
- Precede the paragraphed data for each topic in the Body of the Text section with the left-justified title of the topic.
- A minimum of FIVE primary reference sources outside of the course textbook are required to be cited and referenced in the document submission (ONE per topic).
- Refer to the notes that you have been keeping in the previous research project assignments to compose the Conclusion section in your final document.
Allow enough time after researching the last topic to complete the Conclusion section, and the Reference List page of your paper.
Don’t forget to save the working document when you have finished adding the new data.

Somewhere out during the ‘wee hours’ of the night, the latest Bill Gates clone is ‘burning the midnight oil’ working to develop another remotely possible concept into an actual productive technology.

In this assignment, search through the articles in the RSS news feed below, and choose one from the last year relating to an information systems technology that has impacted a business decision or served prominently as a solution utilized by an enterprise. Be aware that some articles in the news feed may not be appropriate for this assignment. The idea here is to locate timely, newsworthy data relating to an MIS that one might utilize as a manager in today’s On-Demand Economy. You will evaluate and synthesize your new-found data and post a summary (minimum 250 words) of the topic in the forum below to share the knowledge with your peers.

PART 3 Discussion: MIS Reflection Activity
Now that this course has taken you on a journey of introduction to the world of management information systems, it is time to reflect back on the concepts and topics presented in this course. The purpose of this activity is to give you an opportunity to present your overall understanding of how MIS solutions impact and assist businesses in their day-to-day operations, decision-making, and strategic planning. Your fellow students, while not obliged to do so, will be able to review your data and post comments in responses as in the other discussion activities.

For this activity, select an information system that you feel has greatly impacted or assisted business processes during your employment history. Be sure to include data that specifically explains how the implemented solution has contributed to a higher level of efficiency, increased profits, or other evaluation metric.
Another approach that you can take is to explain where an information system solution could have been implemented in your employment history, pointing out issues or shortcomings in business processes that could have been reduced or eliminated.
If you choose to do so, you can post an additional paragraph or two to conclude your post to express your opinions and specific thoughts on how well the course syllabus, textbook, module activities, and assignments were presented. You could comment on how the course has enlightened you and will enable you to progress successfully in your career.
