Create A Development Plan

Instructions: Assignment must include your name and page number at the top right corner of the page (as a header).

Create a development plan for the position you used for the JAQ and JD assignments earlier this term. Review Chapter 9 if you need to refresh.

At a minimum, you must:

• Perform self-assessment
  • Identify incumbent’s strength and weaknesses
• Set Goals
  • Identify goals and methods to determine goal progress
• Plans
  • Identify opportunities for development over the next year, including any steps and a related timetable to reach goal (recommended one year)

You may have to reach back into an old job evaluation, you may need to discuss with your supervisor or co-worker for assistance on strengths and weaknesses, that’s okay. The point is to create a development plan for the job you already analyzed. Review figure 9.2 for more guidance.
