• Prompt: You will be writing a paper based on a topic you will select and research. The topic can be any area you find of interest. You may want to select something you have been thinking about for your dissertation research. The purpose of the paper will be to demonstrate your understanding of the following:
  • Scholarly reframing/paraphrasing of sources used in research
  • Proper citation of someone else’s thoughts and ideas
  • Appropriate formatting of references using the APA style
  • Enhanced written skills

You will conduct research on a topic of your choice. You need to find at least five sources that support the topic and write a paper that discusses what prior research has been conducted. The paper should be formatted as:

• Introduction to the topic and overview of the paper
• Summarization of each of the five or more sources you found
• Conclusion to your research based on the articles you selected
• Reference section
• Requirements: Double-spaced, 12-point, Times New Roman font and formatted per APA 7th edition
  • Paper length:
    • Introduction: 1 and 1 ½ to 2 pages
    • Body of the paper: each article should be a minimum of four paragraphs, paraphrased in your own words
    • Conclusion: 1 and 1 ½ to 2 pages
    • Reference section: at least five entries for each of the journal articles and any other references you used in the paper.
