PUB Interpretation of Surveillance Data for a Public Health Issue Discussion

 

Prepare a presentation, using one of the public health topics/indicators

that
can be used to inform stakeholders. As you create your presentation,
consider the different stakeholders with whom you will share
information, what information is needed, and how you will communicate
the information so that it is appropriate for the audience. Ensure that
you apply strategies to communicate your findings in a manner that is
appropriate for the stakeholder.

Part 1: Public Health Topic/Indicator (600 words)

  1. Review
    the four public health topics/indicators in your Topic 5 assignment.
    Select one for this assignment and describe the health topic and data
    source.
  2. Describe three different stakeholders, or groups of
    stakeholders, for whom this information is critical. Explain why these
    stakeholders need to know about this information, why the information is
    useful to them, and how you will share it with them.
  3. Propose
    strategies that can be applied to communicate and disseminate public
    health data and evidence, related to the indicator you chose, to the
    various stakeholders.
  4. Explain how you would address issues of
    health literacy and cultural competency. Describe how you will integrate
    these as you share and communicate the information.

Part 2: Community or Population (Fact Sheet)

Create
an educational a fact sheet that can be disseminated to the community
or population affected by the public health issue. The fact sheet should
be no more than one page and written for a specific stakeholder. Use
the “PUB Fact Sheet Template” to complete this part of the assignment.

While
APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid
academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be
presented using APA formatting guidelines, APA Style 7th Edition.

This

the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful
