You are required to write an informative paper (200 Points toward Final Grade) about a Planning and Staffing topic. You may select any of the topics found in the textbook. Submit your topic below to ensure it is not too broad or narrow. The paper must be typed in proper APA format. You may use the Internet and local libraries for additional resource material. The paper must include a reference/bibliography/work-cited page of the sources used. Methods of citing the resource materials in the body of the paper and listing them in the bibliography are included in the link above. Because this is a formal academic paper, you are expected to find and verify your information from a variety of sources. Do not use the text it is not a valid resource as it provides only brief comments about a topic or person. For a paper of this type, you are required to use at least 4 different online sources as a minimum, these sources must be cited in the body of your paper. Failure to do so will detract from your grade. If you list a reference, it must be properly cited somewhere in the body of your paper.

I expect your paper to be carefully done, an original work, spelling and English worthy of a college student using spell check, etc. I recommend that you also get someone to assist you in editing the paper (not writing) to help you find and correct the mistakes we all make. It makes no sense for you to allow your Instructor to find your mistakes. I will be primarily concerned with the quality of individual thought, format, and readability you have put into the paper. The paper is due Sunday midnight week 7.

Requirements for the term paper are as follows: MUST BE IN APA 7 FORMAT

1) cover page APA 7 format. (Abstract Not Required)

2) Minimum of 5 complete pages–Times New Roman 12 font, one-inch margins, and double-spaced. (Points will be deducted if not in this format)

3) Complete page means top margin to bottom margin

4) Reference/Work Cited Page–Provide at least four on-line/Internet sources. Other sources may be used in conjunction with on-line sources. DO NOT USE YOUR TEXTBOOK AS A SOURCE. Use the APA 7 guide to reference and cite your sources. An APA 7 guide can be found at your local library or on the Internet at Purdue APA 7 (Links to an external site.) Again, if you list a reference it must be cited in the body of your paper.

Late papers will not be accepted. ALL PAPERS WILL BE UPLOADED TO THE DROPBOX PROVIDED IN WORD FORMAT ONLY. Subjects for your paper can include but not limited to all topics covered in the textbook.

*NOTE: Your paper should be between a minimum of 5 complete pages. This does not include the cover or reference page. If your research paper is less than 5 complete, top to bottom written pages, a reduction in grade will be given.

*NOTE: The paper should be original work for this class. Do not send me a copy of a paper you created for another class. I am sure that will not be a problem for anyone in our class, but a few students have done this in the past. Be sure your topics are chosen from subjects that are covered in this course.
