1.  You will inherit $50,000 from a wealthy relative.

2.  You decide to diversify by buying 10 different stocks at $5,000 each.

3.  You can choose stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) or the NASDAQ  

(Over-the-Counter) as well as ETF’s (Exchange Traded Funds) on the AMEX.

4.  How to choose:

         A) Throw a dart at the paper (random).

         B) Ask someone who is in the business or refer to picks by experts.

         C) Choose by industry such as computers, food healthcare, banking retail, etc.

         D) Choose by area (Chicago-based companies are underlined).

         E) Choose by your experience or use of the companies’ products.

6.  Use the closing price on the stock as of the last business day of the week for the remaining

dates.  Refer to www.yahoo.com under finance and then click on quotes or historical prices if you missed a week.
