Overview

For this assignment, you are required to reflect on your experiences of creating your social media campaign to strengthen your critical and creative approaches for future work in the field. To approach this reflection, you will read de Bono’s article on ‘Six Hats’ and consider how some of these were applicable in your experience. For example, if you put on the green hat, what were the aspects of your work that had the most potential? If you put on the black hat, which aspects of your work needed further development.

The de Bono text equips with a language for critiquing your input throughout the semester, beyond ‘this was good, that was bad’. While you are free to comment openly about your experience, this should be thought of as a reflection that engages critical language to help you improve your project management skills.

Requirements

After reading the de Bono literature, you will reflect on the production work process from this semester. Through the reflection, identify both the strengths and areas for improvement from working as a social media producer, and describe how these items arose and what were the implications. Finally, use this assessment as the basis for describing how you will use the experience to approach and improve on your work in the future.

Components

You will construct a 500-word summary from a personal perspective, i.e. not in academic voice. You will follow usual essay procedures and components, for example Introduction, Body, Conclusion. Please include a reference section if necessary following the APA 7 style.
