Strategic Planning and Leadership Skill Discussion

 

This chapter brings together Strategic Planning with a much-needed leadership skill: effective communication. I believe that organization-wide communication is critical to the success of any strategic plan. Everyone, from the janitor to the chair of surgery needs to understand the basic why, what, how of the plan. As an employee of an organization, or as a student at a university, what has been your experience with communication from “above?” What factors make you feel “well-communicated with?”
