Time Management and Technology Discussion

Hi everyone!

This was my first semester pursuing the program and my first of two courses at SNHU. This course was a great start to my experience and it really started with the first assignment in Module Two. I feel that I tend to doubt myself and getting great feedback on that assignment made me feel like I made the right decision to join this program. I’m excited to keep going and see what the other courses have in store for me!

One of the hardest things for me this term was balancing work, life, and staying on top of the modules and assignments. Time management and preparing for the unexpected is important for leaders in today’s VUCA world of work. While we can’t prepare for every scenario in a fast changing environment, being able to stay clear-minded and ready to handle anything thrown at you will separate the good from great leaders. I think that future courses in this program will continue to deepen my ability to work in the VUCA world because the courses will delve into other aspects of business that I am not as experienced in.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and complex technological developments challenge leaders because they also have to learn these new technologies and either train their staff or work with employees that have much more experience with it than them. With the demographic of the workforce changing in the future, more and more people that enter the workforce will have had newer technologies for the majority of their lives. The nature of certain jobs and positions will change as well because technology can help analyze data and information quicker than ever. This program will help me learn and grow and have the tools I need to be a great leader someday because not only are we completing assignments and projects that can directly correlate to work, we are also able to interact and collaborate with peers that have different backgrounds and work experiences.

Consider the following questions:

What can you learn from your peers’ stories?

Are your responses clear?

Have you considered the viewpoints or insights of the posts?
