Do the following

1.Complete the following practice test 1,4,10,24,54,55,SAV (See attachment below).

2.The data sets for these assigned problems are attached as Excel files. Review Using the Import Data Utility in SAS Studio (Links to an external site.) to learn how to import Excel data files into SAS Studio.

3.Study the SAS OnDemand for Academics: Uploading and Accessing Local Data Instructions

4.Type your answers with any supporting work on a Word document. If you use the SAS software to complete any statistical analysis in answering these practice questions, copy and paste the outputs into this document.

PH 520 West Coast University Descriptive Statistics Question

The data for your short survey should be entered into the Excel database that you created last week. With this data set, complete the following: (Data and document with independent varibles/dependent variables are attached).

  1. Calculate descriptive statistics for your main independent and other variables you have collected information on (example: demographic variables).
    1. Create a bar chart for the participants’ gender and ethnicity.
    2. Create a histogram for participants’ age.
  2. Calculate descriptive statistics for your dependent variable.
  3. Create a summary table of your descriptive statistics.
    1. Hint: For categorical variables, you should be calculating frequencies and percentages; for continuous variables, you should be calculating means and standard deviations.
  4. Use one hypothesis-testing statistic that examines the relationship between your independent variable and dependent variable.
    1. Hint: This should be one of the following—independent samples t-test, paired t-test, one-way ANOVA, or Pearson’s chi-squared.
    2. Write the null and alternate hypotheses.
    3. What is the calculated statistic value?
    4. What is the p and critical statistic value?
    5. Is the p value significant? Is calculated statistic value greater than critical value?
    6. What is your conclusion?

SU Statistics Sample Size of The Data Set Days on Campus Question

A Quick explanation and answer to these 5 questions, please

QUESTIONS:

1. Create a pivot table with rows that indicate where a student lives (on or off campus) and with columns that indicate whether a student owns a car (yes or no). In the cells of the table, give the count –the number of students–for each combination. Copy and paste your table into your problem set.

2. Based on the information in your table:

a. What is the sample size of the data set, overall?

b. What proportion of students in the sample own cars?

c. Create a 95 percent confidence interval for the proportion of students in the undergraduate population who own cars.

d. Interpret the confidence interval in a sentence: what does it tell you?

3. Again, use the information in your pivot table to answer the following questions:

a. How many students in the sample live off campus?

b. What proportion of off-campus students own cars?

c. How many students in the sample live on campus?

d. What proportion of on-campus students own cars?

e. Create a 95% confidence interval for the difference between the proportion of off-campus students who own cars and the proportion of on-campus students who own cars.

f. Interpret the confidence interval in a sentence: what does it tell you?

4. This questions looks at the number of students living together on and off campus.

a. Create a pivot table that shows the average number of students living together for off-campus and for on-campus students. Let the rows of the table indicate whether a student lives on or off campus, and the cells, the average number living together for each group. Include a copy of the table in your problem set.

b.Create a pivot table that shows the sample standard deviation of the number of students living together for off-campus and for on-campus students. Let the rows of the table indicate whether a student lives on or off campus, and the cells, the sample standard deviation of the number living together for each group. Include a copy of the table in your problem set.

5. Use the pivot tables created in problems #1 and #4 to answer the following questions:

a. How many students in the sample live off campus?

b. What are the mean and standard deviation of the variable “number living together” for off-campus students?

c. How many students live on campus?

d. What are the mean and standard deviation of the variable “number living together” for on-campus students?

e. Create a 95% confidence interval for the difference between the average number living together for off-campus students and the average number living together for on-campus students.

f. Interpret the interval from part e in a sentence: what does it show? Do the results provide evidence of a difference between off and on campus students in the number living together?

STAT 101 Los Angeles Pierce College Statistics Independent Test Discussion

Describe a potential example of an “independent samples t-tests” that could be conducted within the social sciences, and list what you believe the outcome of the research would be for this study. No data or calculations are necessary whatsoever, but you should describe why you developed your chosen hypothesis (e.g., based on your own understanding of current research, real world observations, a wild guess, etc.).

To receive full credit, this first section must be at least 100 words. Once you submit this post, you will then have access to everyone else’s posts, at which point you must then respond to at least one other student by adding to their discussion, asking them a question, or reacting to their post in a meaningful way. For instance, maybe you disagree with their hypotheses and you’d like to offer an alternative perspective.

Vanderbilt University Candy Company Giant Replica of A Hershey Kiss Problems

A candy company wants to make a giant replica of a Hershey Kiss, whose shape is given by revolving
the area under ( ) = −
