explain the significant ways in which each affects the demand curve. Provide at least one (1) example of these factors to support your rationale.

  • From the e-Activity, compare the primary individual factors that influence demand, and explain the significant ways in which each affects the demand curve. Provide at least one (1) example of these factors to support your rationale.
  • Imagine a situation where consumers have incomplete information about their health status and about the productivity of medical care. Examine the roles of the principal and the agent in helping consumers to determine the demand for medical care in the described situation. Provide at least one (1) detailed example of such roles in action to support your response.

Why is cultural competency important when addressing these health problems within this specific population?

Read over the Leading Causes of Death by Race. This document can also be found in Doc Sharing.

Choose a minority/racial group from the table, and briefly describe their demographics in the United States and list the top ten causes of death. Then, answer these questions:

  1. Why is cultural competency important when addressing these health problems within this specific population?
  2. How are these health issues being address specifically for this target population?
  3. Why is it important to target specific populations with health information they relate to?

·         What barriers contributed to this incident? What other challenges may have influenced this situation?

Week7

From moment to moment, a nurse leader’s day involves communication—with patients, families, colleagues, supervisors, and so on.

Think of a particular day you spent working in a health care environment, and consider three or four distinct points in time. For each point of time, consider the following: With whom did you interact? Which forms of communication did you use? What issues were communicated about—did they seem to be light-hearted or sensitive? Straightforward or complicated? How would you describe the pace of the interactions and your work?

As you consider these questions, it becomes clear that communication can be quite complex, with many layers of meaning that shape the experience for everyone involved. How could this awareness help you to understand instances of ineffective communication when they arise?

To prepare:

·         Review the information in Chapter 19 of the course text, as well as the assigned articles.

·         Reflect on an incident involving ineffective communication within your organization or another health care setting. Consider this incident through the lens of the communication process outlined in Figure 19.1 of the course text (p. 439).

·         What barriers contributed to this incident? What other challenges may have influenced this situation?

·         Using the information presented in the other Learning Resources, consider what could have been done to prevent or address the ineffective communication. Why do you think the use of these strategies would have resulted in better outcome(s)?

On the Week 7 Discussion Board, post on or before Day 3 a summary of an incident involving ineffective communication. Describe communication barriers and other challenges that contributed to the incident. Propose one or more strategies that could have been employed to promote a better outcome. Be sure to refer to elements of the communication process.

Write 2 pages in APA and cite at least 3 sources not older than 5 years. Include a small intro and a conclusion

. Does this connote safe care? Is there an app (application) for that? If you could develop an app to enhance safe nursing care, what would it be like?

I need 1-2 page answer of the following discussion. Must include 1-2 scholarly references. Your answer must be 100% original.

Discussion

Andrea was working in the cardiac catheterization lab when a young woman undergoing a cardiac ablation started to have small seizures. The nurse noticed these and asked the physician to look at the patient. The physician asked Andrea to get his smart phone and film the seizures. This video message was sent to a neurologist and he could tell from the video the part of the brain from which the seizures were emanating. This is one example of using technology. Does this connote safe care? Is there an app (application) for that? If you could develop an app to enhance safe nursing care, what would it be like?

Why is the problem important for health care administrators to study?

Choose an article from your annotated bibliography. Obtain faculty approval for your article to ensure that it is a peer-reviewed research article.

Read the following:

  • Background: The background statement answers the following questions: How do you know a real problem, situation, or opportunity will be studied? Does evidence indicate you have chosen an important problem, situation, or opportunity that deserves more attention? What evidence indicates that the problem, situation, or opportunity relates to an organizational management issue or clinical concern?
  • Methodology: This part of a research study provides an overview of the scope of the study or how large, long, and comprehensive the study was. This is a brief overview explaining the gathering of the qualitative and quantitative data and where the data may be found. Implicit in this overview is the recognition by the researcher that both secondary data—document-based data, organizational material, library books, and journals—and primary data—empirical, qualitative, and quantitative data incorporated by a survey, experiment, and so on in a real-time fashion—was gathered to make the study comprehensive, fully researched, and as rigorous as a project must be within the scientific method of data planning, gathering, and analysis.

Respond to the following questions in a 700- to 1,050-word paper:

  • Definition of the problem
    • What is the problem the study was conducted to resolve?
    • Why is the problem important for health care administrators to study?
  • Study purpose: What is the purpose of the study?
  • Research question
    • What is the main research question?
    • If it is not stated, what would you say the research question is?
  • Hypothesis or hypotheses
    • What is the study hypothesis?
    • If it is not stated, what would you say the hypothesis is?
    • It there is more than one study hypothesis, state the hypothesis or hypotheses.
  • Study variables: What are the independent and dependent study variables?
  • Conceptual model or theoretical framework: In what way was a conceptual model or theoretical framework used to guide this study?
  • Review of related literature: In what ways does the literature review support the need for this study?
  • Study design
    • What study design is used?
    • How many subjects were studied?
    • Where are the subjects found?
