Population and Participants

The total 1.population for the research involves experts in the field of 2. cybersecurity and literature. Experts will provide primary data on their experience using machine learning algorithms against cyber threats. The method of data collection is the survey method, where questionnaires will be distributed to the experts. Mainly, the study will involve information technology experts and cybersecurity personnel such as security managers, data analysts, network security engineers, and security administrators in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of learning algorithms. In addition, the study will review specific content to assess the problem at hand. The literature explored to provide primary and secondary data includes journals, conference proceedings, review articles, and dissertations (Sarker et al., 2020).

The sampling technique to select 3. participants for the study will be cluster sampling. Cluster sampling is appropriate for the study; it will divide the population into subgroups with similar characteristics and enable random selection of subgroups to participate in the study. In cybersecurity, there are many personnel specialized in the field. Hence, purposive sampling will apply to identify participants in the study. Convenience sampling will be utilized to select literature; it involves selecting literature that supports the study and the experts who will be available at the study time (Sarker et al., 2020).
