In the textbook, Conducting Needs Assessments: A Multidisciplinary Approach, review the following chapters:
Chapter 2, “Sociopolitical and Economic Considerations”
Chapter 3, “Social, Gender, and Cultural Considerations”
Use the Internet or other resources to research a particular culture affected by the community issue you researched in Workshop One.
Identify and collect data about this culture to assist you in creating a program business plan for a national program to provide support to people in this community.
Imagine that you will be presenting the information you have collected at a national forum. The data should include US demographics, in addition to state or local demographics. This will bring into perspective the affect that the community issue has on the culture.
In a one-page (250-word) paper, outline a program business plan to share with your instructor.
Your paper should include the following information:
Background on the community issue
Background on the affected culture
Review of research findings that support the need
Recommendation for the program
