AU Economics Life Cycle Cost Discussion

Do a library or Internet search on Efficiency Analysis and efficiency ratios. In 2 to 3 pages, find a topic that you feel is interesting. You are my Director of Operations. I have just requested an analysis of this topic for you to possibly being promoted to VP. I want you to pin point an issue and perform an efficiency analysis that will save my company money.

Please upload a Word document using APA format for this assignment (see attached for the template). This assignment will have a title page, no abstract or content list, 2-3 pages of reported information, and a reference page. Again, it has to be turned in on the template and APA compliant.(3 Points)

Group 1 Case 1

INTRODUCTION (Christian): Transportation is one of the key elements for the worldwide economic system, of the transportation system, railways were at one point the forefront and are now the backbone of transportation systems around the world (Cwil, M., et. Al., 2021). Countries around the world have become more concerned with CO2 emissions on automobiles and busses, yet not with railway companies. Using all-electric railways has many benefits including less CO2 in the environment, maintenance, and life cycle cost.

TALK ABOUT CO2: To get ahead of what will soon be coming to the railway industry, our company should start an all-electric railway to help fight the CO2 emission requirements. With this being done, it will help show other countries that we can lessen the CO2 being produced in the environment, while also being able to transport assets at a cheaper and more efficient way.

TALK ABOUT INITIAL PRICE:

TALK ABOUT MAINTENANCE:

“In most of the countries in which electric traction has been widely used and statistics on costs produced, it has been clearly demonstrated that maintenance costs of straight electric-power units are significantly lower than those for the diesel-electric equivalent. The savings on capital cost of the maintenance depots and the savings on labor and materials are usually the largest contribution to any case for electrification” (Calder 1977). This will be a benefit for all countries that adopt this method of transportation. With the concern for environmental safety becoming more apparent, the switch over to electronic power has become a priority for all involved. Governments around the world will soon give out incentives for railways to make the switch because of the looming danger that past industries have caused to our ozone. As the years progress electronic railways will be the future of transportation, it would only benefit our company to get ahead of the curve and capitalize on the inevitable production of electronic transportation.

TALK ABOUT LIFE CYCLE COST(Steven) :

CONCLUSION(Christian):

What do you all think of this? Sound good or not?

I Like your outline. I will read the article tonight and start drafting some stuff. Do you want me to do the Maintenance portion? (Ed Rivera)

Please only discuss the underline portion I am Steven
