Florida State College Omitting to Test Practical Knowledge Discussion
Are we better off?
This has been a topic between histotechs that never ends! I want to see how you feel about this. As you know, ASCP no longer requires a practical examination (project) in order for you to obtain a certification in Histotechnology. There is only a computer examination. Many histotechs believe this is a mistake because by not submitting a practical project you have not demonstrated that you are able to troubleshoot or perform adequate quality histology. Do you believe this to be true? Yes or No? Why?
