Creating an Organization-wide Culture of Quality

Students will create an in-service to present to their peers. This will meet  P&P guidelines related to Quality improvement. Please read the following documents:

1. Quality Improvement Program-GH.docx 

2. Leadership project directions-1.pdf 

Choose from the following  topics to create a visually stimulating and engaging 20 minute presentation using Knowles Theory of Andragogy.

Topics

  1. Customer Service and Patient Right

You will work as a pair to complete the project and present it in 3 stages:

1.  Explaining the content outline and ideas for the presentation. You will also submit a written outline with the video as well as a pre and post presentation survey for participants. 

*(As an alternative you can write up your presentation in report form (cover page, body with in-text citations and reference page) if you are unable to create submit video. Please notify the instructor if this is how you plan to submit part one prior to the submission. If you would like the instructor to set up zoom meetings for collaboration or to create your submission please notify the teacher at least 1 business day prior to the date/time you would like to have the Zoom scheduled)

2. Present in lab for classmates 

3. Present in clinical for staff.  

Once Topic has been approved by Instructor, begin collecting references for your topic.

a. I suggest using a Word Document to paste relevant quotes, pictures, etc. from sources.

b. Create an intext citation for each source.

c. Once you have found at least 7 good sources (per team member) create the reference page at the end of your notes.

d. Share your Notes with reference page by Saturday, July 31

4. Collaborate with your teammate to determine the references you will use for your project and develop an outline:

a. Introduction –Explain the purpose for the training (Why they need to know)

b. Objectives/at least 5 questions/responses that you want the students to take away from the training- This will make up your pre and post test

c. Body (what they need to know with supporting references and examples), Describe what Visual you will use to support your teaching (examples: PowerPoint, Video, handout, poster, etc.)

d. Activity: Summary of what you will do to drive home your concepts
