Creating Smart Physical Goals Question

Using HRR to determine exercise intensity, and creating SMART goals. Since you are currently walking/running 30 minutes plan should start where you left off in this class. Keep in mind the Surgeon General’s recommendations.

This is the final week of the course. The journey began by assessing current fitness level and developing a personal walking program. Now it is time to develop a plan to continue exercise after this class has concluded. Reread the blog entries. Look back at the original plan and mid-term evaluation of that plan. Give a short summary of your previous plan and if you reached your goal.

1. Compare the original plan with the end term evaluation and share any changes made. You’ll need to recalculate your HRR. Did it change?

Compare the pre- assessment data (1-mile walk/run) with the final assessment. Summarize your successes and challenges.

2. Next, create a fitness plan that will help you to continue a walking/running program when this class has concluded.

a. Begin with at least one SMART long term goal.

Remember a long term goal is 3 months in length.

You can create short term goals if desired.

b. Create a F.I.T.T. to help you reach your goal.

You will need a F.I.T.T. for each long term goal.

You will need a F.I.T.T for each exercise that is not cardio like weight resistance, push up, sit ups, flexibility etc.

c. Develop a way to log your progress.

Save your document as a .docx or.pdf before submitting.
