Discussion: What Motivates You?

When Ana was into her 6th month of work as an accounts receivable specialist at Riverville Medical Center (RMC), Bennet, her manager, asked, “What keeps you so motivated every day?” Ana replied: “I like my job and I like my team. I’ve chosen health care as my career, and I am looking forward to growing and learning more. I have learned so much here at Riverville and my colleagues are super supportive.”

According to Robbins and Judge (2018), motivation techniques are the processes that account for an individual’s passion, direction, and determination of effort on attaining a goal. Lack of job motivation can occur for different reasons, but leaders can re-inspire employees (Clark & Saxberg, 2019). This Discussion gives you the opportunity to explore what motivates you to do a job well. In addition, you will explore motivational techniques and factors.
