This section is of great importance as the facility or organization where you will complete your project must approve the design plan for the implementation; this is it. It is recommended that the student meet with their project preceptor to review the components of this section. Students should complete the SWOT analysis related to the focus of the PICOT and clearly identify the level of the change proposal. Although some projects will eventually be rolled out to the full organization, if the project design indicates completing the implementation of one unit, then this project is likely a micro level; if it will be completed in a full department, such as all medical-surgical units, then the project level is likely meso and if the project will be completed throughout the full organization, then this is likely macro.

For those projects where there are process changes, such as implementation of new order sets or treatment protocols, these would be macro level.
