NSG 456 University of Phoenix Week 3 Research Trials Justice Discussion

I’m working on a Nursing exercise and need support.

No matter the current role, nurses are advocates of all kinds. We have obligations to protect privacy, dignity and their autonomy and rights to make their own decisions. This is also true of the research realm. Let’s review a few definitions that might apply.

The definitions of respect, beneficence and justice, can be stated as “Respect for subjects means that people should be treated as autonomous beings that have the free will to or not to participate in any research. Beneficence encourages the researcher to do good and “above all, do no harm.” And justice states that human subjects should be treated fairly in terms of the benefits and the risks of research.”

Let’s talk about one of them in a little more detail. Let’s take justice.

What does it means to treat them fairly with benefits and risk?

For example, what about a drug trial for a new diabetic medication. What would be some examples of justice?
