Summary

This week, we explored the master’s- prepared advanced practice nurse’s role as a relational leader and agent of change. Nurses in leadership positions will encounter numerous opportunities to lead and manage change. The nurse leader of today and the future must possess an expanded skill set to cultivate effective relationships and lead change. NPs must possess additional competencies to ensure safe, quality patient care and to provide leadership in the practice environment.
