Part 1: one article directly related to the social service (public service) institutions in the United States of America.  The institutions of social service (public service) in the United States include, but are not limited to, electrical companies (e.g., SDG&E), emergency services (e.g., fire departments), military or armed services (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), environmental protection (United States Environmental Protection Agency—e.g., responsible for protecting and keeping our water, air, and lands clean, safe, and accessible), Child Protective Services (in California, this agency intervenes in cases of child abuse and neglect in California), and the last example is one we have all heard a lot about lately, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
