Now that you know more about Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Rigoletto, I would like for you to respond to three different interpretations of the same scene.  This is the aria “La donna è mobile”, the aria you studied in the book.  The more you know about the opera, the better your argument will be.  The first one is directed by David McVicar and performed at the Royal Opera House.  Royal opera “La donna è mobile”   The second one is directed by Michael Mayer and performed at the Metropolitan Opera.  Metropolitan Opera production “La donna è mobile”.  The third option is directed by Jonathan Miller and performed at The English National Opera.
