You should have read the excerpts from William Bradford’s history Of Plymouth Plantation, chapters IX (9), X (10), and XXVIII (28) and John Winthrop’s religious treatise A Model of Christian Charity. You will find these in the “Week Four” module of our GaVIEW course. Answer the question below that corresponds with your last initial. Your post should be a minimum of one paragraph (200+ words approx.) in which you (1) state a clear and direct answer to the question and (2) support your answer with specific textual evidence from the story and your own explanation of how the evidence supports your answer.

In several places in his text Bradford claims the Providence of God comes to the aid of the Puritans (when they make it safely to shore, when they find the stores of corn, when they defeat the Pequot, etcetera). What rhetorical purpose does this serve (what argument does he make about the Puritan people), and are you convinced by that argument? Why are you convinced or why not?
