Final Group Topic Idea

By this Sunday, you must submit your idea for your group at a minimum in order to fulfill the requirements of this “assignment”. Please make sure you provide enough information about the idea for a group so that I can provide you with proper feedback.

Below is information to assist you in formulating your idea:

For your final, you will be required to create a Group Proposal. You will find in your future career that you will have many great ideas for creating a group in your community. You may find that there is an unmet need in your community that would benefit from creating a group, but many good ideas for groups are never developed because there is no clear and convincing plan. A Group Proposal is a plan for how a group will be conducted.

In the proposal for your final you must identify the goals/benefits, the rationale/need for the group, identify the objectives as well as the practical aspects of the group such as where you are going to meet, when and how often. This document provides legitimacy to your group, and allows for support or even funding.

As such, a large chunk of your final will be in creating a Group Proposal (APA Paper) for your “group”. You do not have to actually create a real group within your community.
