Ashford University Special Education Leadership Essay
Article Review: Leadership
[WLOs: 1, 2] [CLOs: 1, 3]
For this assignment, you will continue constructing the series of article reviews that will help you complete your final assignment, the Analysis Review. For this reason, be sure you have reviewed the weekly Article Review assignments and the Week 6 Analysis Review assignment to help you refine the focus of the work you want to do with your selected topic.
To begin this assignment, conduct a library search using key words that relate to your topic and to leadership in higher education, the topic focus of this week’s materials. To get started, review the Ashford University Library video Keywords Are Critical (Links to an external site.). Focus your search to find peer-reviewed scholarly articles that address the types of questions and issues you find most interesting and important. Then read several abstracts and choose one peer reviewed article that is best aligned with your topic, the week’s focus, and your interests.
In your paper, address the following items:
- Provide a full APA citation for the article you are reviewing.
- Provide a brief introduction in which you discuss the background of the study and state the author’s purpose.
- Briefly summarize the author’s major ideas, concepts, and key points.
- Explain how the article informs and contributes to the analysis of your chosen topic. Were any previous ideas you had on the subject changed, abandoned, or reinforced due to this article?
