The first assignment which is the annotated bibliography is due in 2 days, 5/31. I am not sure I will need an essay outline but it is possible, and the essay will be due in 10-20 days. I will know the exact date by next week.

The essay will need to be selecting a company that is currently in the news for a social responsibility issue.  Social responsibility does include a company’s treatment of workers but also includes a number of other issues:

• effects on the environment (which could include the environmental impact of a company’s decisions)
• effects on the community (which could include how a company is handling COVID-19)
• influence on society (which could include issues of race or gender)
• use of technology (which could include how a company is handling hate speech or the spread of false information)
• creation of products (which could include what a company’s products contain or whether a company’s products can be misused)
