We will come up with topics during class through writing exercises. Students cannot pick the same topic unless they are looking at the topic from different angles and have gained my approval.

For this project, you must prepare to present for a minimum of 5 minutes (7 minutes maximum). You are welcome to complete a short podcast episode, a video, a PowerPoint presentation, a speech, etc. If you have an idea for a project, come see me and we can discuss whether it would be viable for presentation to the class. You project must be informative, descriptive, and offer a narrative that helps the class to understand the topic and why it is important. Be creative and detailed.

Project must:

• Be 5 minutes in length minimum (7 minutes maximum) and have an informative title.
• Include cited material from a minimum of 3 outside sources
• This project must also include a writer’s memo comprising of 300 to 500 words discussing your research. The memo needs to cover your thoughts about the project. Did you like the research? Was it interesting? Why or why not? What could have been improved upon? Etc.
