I’m stuck on a Religion question and need an explanation.

 

(1) What is the central argument or main idea or theme of chapter seven “Religion and the American Revolution”?

(2) Was the American Revolution based on and/or caused due to secular concerns or religious reasons?  Or, was it a combination of the two somehow?  And what were the implications of the American Revolution for religion?

(3) Why is the First Amendment of the Constitution significant for the study of religion?  What do you think life would be like for religion if the First Amendment of the Constitution did not exist in America?

(4) What was interesting or fascinating to you about the Presbyterian cautiousness about the American Revolution?  And do you think you would have supported the American Revolution at the time?  Why or why not?
