I’m stuck on a Sociology question and need an explanation.

How social scientists design and conduct research is critical to its credibility and the future of scientific inquiry. And while there have been more ethical than unethical research, we can learn a lot from the mistakes of the past and must consider how that history impacts our research today. This week you’ve learned about several ethical issues social science researchers must contend with in their research design, data collection, dissemination of their findings, etc. This is especially true when it comes to marginalized communities, who have been historically mistreated by researchers. This discussion will challenge you to consider various ethical issues and their repercussions nearly 100 years later.
