SOCW 3001 Walden University Biopsychosocial Essay

Assignment 1 (A)-Biopsychosocial

Often, across our life spans, humans experience many unique things that shape development and provide the context of who they become. These influences may include the parent-child relationship and may occur within our social networks, within the family context, and among our communities. These influences can have a lasting impact on us biologically, psychologically, and socially. Recognizing that relationships are central to the human experience, the “bio-psycho-social” approach is important to understanding and promoting lasting change. It is also useful in helping people understand influences that have shaped their development. People seeking to help themselves better manage life problems may integrate the use of this comprehensive approach.

For this Assignment:

You develop a biopsychosocial assessment of yourself and incorporate influences in your life span as they relate to family, extended family, culture, and social systems. The goal of this assignment is to assist you in gaining self-awareness and insight into your own background, including experiences that have shaped your development as an individual as well as structural self-reflection to achieve a deeper understanding of who you are as an individual.
