Within the context of development, the childhood through adolescent years are key years that will impact a person through adulthood. And as you have found in this week’s readings, the parenting choices that parents make have a huge impact on this development. This week you will develop a ten-to-12 slide PPT presentation that is educational in nature and geared toward parents, helping them to understand the psychosocial stages their children will go through and what they can do to help their children successfully develop in each stage. In this PPT, you need to cover the following points:

Part 1: Initiative vs. Guilt (three to five years)

  • What are the key developmental tasks in this stage?
  • What strategies can parents employ to help their child achieve initiative?
  • What tends to be the most effective discipline strategies at this stage?
  • What steps or activities can parents take to share their faith during this stage?

Part 2: Industry vs. Inferiority (five to 12 years)

  • What are the key developmental tasks in this stage?
  • What strategies can parents employ to help their child achieve industry?
  • What tends to be the most effective discipline strategies at this stage?
  • What steps or activities can parents do to help their children understand and/or develop their own faith during this stage?

Part 3: Ego Identity vs. Role Confusion (12‒18 years)

  • What are the key developmental tasks in this stage?
  • What strategies can parents employ to help their child achieve identity?
  • What tends to be the most effective discipline strategies at this stage?

This PowerPoint presentation should be ten to 12 slides long, plus an additional title slide and reference slide. Additionally, use a minimum of one additional source in addition to your textbook to support your points.
