2. Respond to this prompt:

What is the “single story” perceptions do people Brent Staples encounters at various stages of his life? What are the dangers that are created by these acquaintances’ “single story” perceptions? In what ways can these perceptions be changed?

3. Write an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement that responds to the above prompt. Then write body paragraphs that develop and support your main argument.
